It is now time for Apple to think over the screen size of its iPhone smartphone after the success of several phablets in the global market, including Samsung Note series.
Several websites meanwhile have come up with rumored stories the iDevice giant may launch its iPhone 6 with 5-inch screen size. Though the iPhone 6 rumors may or may not be true, it is also widely speculated the phone and tablet maker may come up with a larger iPad in 2014.
If the rumors are to be believed, we may see the launching of iPhone 6 in May and larger iPad in October, 2014.
Digitimes reported lately the next flagship smartphone from the stable of Apple is to be powered with 20nm processor which is manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). It also added Apple may launch a 12.9-inch iPad for the North America educational market and it will be manufactured by the Quanta Computer.
Meanwhile, it is widely speculated rival Samsung is working upon a 12 to 13-inch tablet too. A report from Forbes says the bigger tablets may affect the ultrabook demands. Also, the new and big-sized iPad devices would be a defacto laptop with integrated keyboards and batteries.
As a large-sized screen may be a big challenge for the developers to comfortably accommodate their applications on iOS7 software, it is expected Apple may come up with iOS8 soon that would be equipped with configurations and features for the larger screens.
If the larger tablet devices are well received by market, other players too may jump into this segment and come up with their own 12-inch or 13-inch models, including one each from Google and Amazon.
